The APM Project Risk Management Single Subject Certificate builds on PMQ-level knowledge and focuses on project risk management. It has Level 1 and Level 2 assessment routes, with Level 2 being decommissioned after June 30, 2026.
APM states Level 1 is a 60-question, 1-hour multiple-choice exam. Level 2 is a 3 hour 15 minute written exam with one compulsory question and two from four optional questions, and APM has announced Level 2 decommissioning deadlines.
Read the credential as a decision framework. The stronger answer usually identifies the real problem, chooses the method that fits the situation, explains the tradeoff, and names the next action. Avoid treating the exam as a vocabulary-only target.
