AIPM Practice Drills

AIPM practice guidance for scenario reading, calculations, written responses, answer discipline, and readiness checks.

Use this page when you want to move from reading into AI project scenario drills and better-next-step judgment. Practice is strongest after you can already explain why a stronger answer improves lifecycle fit, tool choice, organizational readiness, or governance discipline.

When practice is most useful

  • start with short topic sets after one syllabus area at a time
  • use mixed sets only after your lifecycle, tool-choice, and governance logic is stable
  • revisit the Cheat Sheet after each short set, especially when misses cluster around the same AI project decision pattern

Readiness check

Before you lean heavily on drills, you should already be able to explain:

  • why practical AI project judgment is stronger than abstract AI enthusiasm
  • how problem framing, readiness, and stakeholder impact should shape the next step
  • when experimentation is useful and when it becomes uncontrolled risk

If those explanations are still weak, review the AIPM exam guide or the Cheat Sheet before pushing volume.

What to practice in sets of 10 to 20

Practice focus What you should be testing
lifecycle and stage questions whether you can tell what the project needs next instead of jumping ahead to tooling or rollout
AI tool-fit questions whether you can match the use case to the right level of experimentation and control
adoption and stakeholder questions whether you can spot where readiness, trust, or organizational fit is the real issue
governance and evidence questions whether you can choose the stronger control or proof step before scaling

What to log when you miss

  • Did you jump to tooling before the business problem was clear?
  • Did you ignore delivery or governance constraints in favor of innovation language?
  • Did you choose an answer that hides risk, evidence needs, or role accountability?

What to do after a weak set

If misses cluster around… Go back to…
lifecycle-stage confusion the lifecycle sections in the Cheat Sheet
tool-choice and experimentation logic the tool and experimentation sections in the Cheat Sheet
adoption and stakeholder readiness the adoption sections in the Cheat Sheet
governance and evidence gaps the governance sections in the Cheat Sheet and the AIPM exam guide

If the same miss pattern repeats twice, stop doing more random questions and repair that one decision rule first.
