SAFe POPM 30-Day Study Plan

SAFe POPM 30-day study plan for customer value, backlog hierarchy, WSJF, PI Planning, PO/PM boundaries, and practice timing.

Use this SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) 30-day plan to connect customer value, backlog hierarchy, PI Planning, WSJF, feedback, and release flow. Shorten it if SAFe terms are current; extend it if features, stories, enablers, PI objectives, and role boundaries are still mixed.

Days 1-7: Map backlog and value flow

Read the Overview and Syllabus. Build a backlog and value-flow map: customers, Product Manager, Product Owner, epics, features, stories, enablers, PI objectives, feedback, and release decisions. Your goal this week is to keep role and backlog levels clean.

Days 8-16: Study PO/PM decisions

Work through customer value, backlog flow, PI Planning, prioritization, features, stories, feedback, and product responsibility inside SAFe. For each topic, write one sentence explaining how customer evidence and economics shape the backlog decision.

Days 17-23: Explain backlog choices

Use Practice for PO/PM scenarios. After each missed question, tag the error as role-split error, WSJF/economics error, backlog-level error, PI Planning error, or feedback error.

Days 24-28: Review POPM traps

Finish with the Cheat Sheet as a backlog-decision checklist. Rehearse how customer evidence, economic priority, capacity, dependencies, and PI objectives combine into one backlog decision.

Days 29-30: Check timed readiness

Confirm current Scaled Agile certification details with Resources. Use external practice only after you can keep features, stories, enablers, roles, and PI objectives distinct under pressure: SAFe POPM practice and exam prep.
