PMI-CPMAI Data Requirements and Planning

Study PMI-CPMAI Data Requirements and Planning: key concepts, common traps, and exam decision cues.

Chapter 5 turns the AI use case into a concrete data-planning problem. The project must now define what evidence the model and the business decision will require, identify who can interpret and govern that data, confirm what sources are actually available and usable, and make sure the workspace and access model support controlled delivery.

These decisions are tightly connected. Weak AI projects often fail here by assuming data will be available, understandable, and usable later. PMI-CPMAI usually favors the response that makes data requirements explicit early, assigns clear accountability, and treats environment design as part of responsible project planning rather than as a purely technical afterthought.
