PMI-PMOCP practice guidance for scenario reading, calculations, written responses, answer discipline, and readiness checks.
Use this page when you want to move from reading into PMO design and governance scenario drills. Practice is strongest after you can explain what decision or customer outcome the PMO should improve next.
Before you lean heavily on drills, you should already be able to explain:
If those explanations are still weak, review the Overview or the Cheat Sheet before pushing volume.
| Practice focus | What you should be testing |
|---|---|
| mandate and strategic-fit questions | whether you can connect the PMO design to enterprise needs instead of generic control language |
| service and customer-fit questions | whether you can match the service catalog to real customers and decisions |
| governance and operating-model questions | whether you can tell when the PMO needs clearer decision rights, not more reporting |
| KPI and maturity questions | whether you can separate useful performance evidence from vanity metrics |
| If misses cluster around… | Go back to… |
|---|---|
| PMO mandate and strategic fit | the strategic-elements sections in the Cheat Sheet |
| service design and customer fit | the service and design sections in the Cheat Sheet |
| governance and operating-model choices | the governance and operating sections in the Cheat Sheet |
| KPI, maturity, or value optimization | the performance sections in the Cheat Sheet and Overview |
If the same miss pattern repeats twice, stop doing more random questions and repair that one decision rule first.
